Kate Learson is a writer, filmmaker, and improvisor based in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in southeastern Pennsylvania, and graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Video. She is a contributor to the Hairpin and Little Old Lady Comedy, and has produced shows at The Annoyance, Neo-Futurist, and Playground Theatres in Chicago. The performance exhibit, Intangible Notions on Top of Object, won the Unlimited Pass Choice Audience Award at the Chicago Fringe Festival in 2018. In 2020 Cooking with Janet was featured on CAN-TV Saturday mornings at 10. She is currently seeking her Master’s of Fine Arts in Writing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
